GAME DAY - What you NEED to Know!
***NOTE: WE ARE WATCHING THE WEATHER CLOSELY. THE GAME IS STILL ON FOR TONIGHT! PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY AND LEAVE EXTRA TIME FOR PARKING! YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY SCHOOL MESSENGER IF ANYTHING CHANGES.***
The MC PTA is looking forward to seeing you this Tuesday, March 14 for the Harlem Wizards vs. Cutchogue East Teachers Game at Mattituck High School! Please read through the important information below, and forward to everyone in your group.
General timeline for the game:
6:00 PM - Doors Open/Check-In Begins
6:10-6:25 PM - Meet & Greet for Benchwarmer & CourtSide Plus Ticket Holders (more details below)
6:30 PM - Wiz Kids warm up on court with Wizards (wear/purchase WizKid jersey to participate)
7:00 PM - Team Intros & game begins
9:00 PM - End of Game/Free Autograph Session with Harlem Wizards on the court (please note: players will only sign Harlem Wizard merchandise and they WILL NOT sign our event program)
*Please be aware that parking will likely be an issue. We expect over 600 people in attendance, so please carpool when possible! Utilize all parking lots on site, parking along the far side of the track, safely parking on the side of the road OR across the Main Road at the church.
**Please have your tickets either printed or ready on your phone. Once you are checked in and your hand is stamped, you can go into the gym to take your seats, or go to the concession stand or PTA raffle table.
General Admission and Reserved ticket holders:
Please enter at the MHS gym lobby entrance with your tickets ready. We will have a list of names handy, in the event you don’t have your tickets, but having them handy will speed the check-in process up. Reserved seating will be taped off on the “right” side of the gym when you walk in. General admission seating is first come, first serve. Ushers will be there helping everyone sit in the correct areas. Please be mindful that everyone will need to sit closely on the bleachers so that we can fit all 600+ of our guests! We apologize, but squishing is a must for this event!
Benchwarmer and CourtSide Plus Ticket Holders:
Please arrive between 5:50-6:00pm and enter at the MHS Library courtyard entrance to be checked in and for your private meet & greet. The player meet & greet is promptly from 6:10-6:25pm, so please do not be late or you will miss it. Plan ahead for parking and the possibility of needing to walk. Once you check in, we will give you your VIP lanyards. Benchwarmers and Courtside Plus ticket holders who purchased Wiz Kid jerseys will also get them at check-in. Courtside Plus ticket holders who did not purchase a jersey can still purchase one at the game, where your child can participate in the Wiz Kid program. After the meet & greet, the PTA liaison will escort you from the meet & greet into the gym to your reserved seating. Courtside Plus seats will be on the “right” side of the gym upon entering, in the first few rows. Benchwarmers will be sitting on the Wizards bench on the “left” side of the gym, near the Emcee and scorekeeper table.
Souvenirs - Harlem Wizards souvenirs will be sold inside the gym throughout the game. Cash or credit cards will be accepted. Please note that the HW players will ONLY sign Wizards merchandise at the end of the game. They will NOT sign our event program. If your child came home with a HW poster, bring that with you for autographs!
Raffle - Zeifman Orthodontics has generously donated a FREE set of Braces or Invisalign (for adult OR child) for the MC PTA to raffle off! Be sure to grab some tickets at the PTA table in the gym lobby! The drawing will be at the end of the 3rd quarter! There will also be door prize raffles for those who purchase raffle tickets. Please bring cash for raffle tickets! Tickets are roughly $2 each.
Concessions - The MHS Booster Club will be selling concessions in the gym lobby. They will be offering pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, churros, candy and beverages. Concession sales are cash or venmo only. Please do your best to help keep the gym clean by throwing out your trash. Thank you.
Wiz Kid Program:
Anyone with a Wiz Kid jersey - approximately 40 minutes before the game, you will hear an announcement by the Wizards MC, inviting the Wiz Kid participants on to the court. At this time, students will need to check in with the MC so he can announce your child’s name as they go on to the court. The Wiz Kid program ends when the game starts and students will go back to sit with their families. Please note: This warm-up session is the only time that the kids will be invited onto the court as a group for participation.
--> Anyone who purchased a jersey in advance online, you will pick them up from the souvenir stand when you arrive. If your child earned one from the WizFit Challenge, have them wear it to the game, so they can participate in the warm ups. They will also be for sale at the game if you decide you'd like one! Jerseys may be exchanged for a size that will fit your child. We also encourage kids to wear their light up bracelets and/or necklaces that they earned from the WizFit program!

The WIZFIT CHALLENGE Fundraiser portion is now over. We are excited and sooo proud to announce our CE community raised an astonishing $17,766 for the PTA!! A lot of that will be put towards enhancing outdoor play and/or learning areas! We thank everyone who participated! You ROCK!
We are excited to announce that the students of Mattituck-Cutchogue Elementary School are teaming up with the World Famous Harlem Wizards to help us raise funds for the Mattituck-Cutchogue Elementary PTA with their new WizFit Challenge fundraiser and kids experience. During a two-week period starting on 2-1-2023 our students will watch and participate in an exclusive series of six interactive video episodes led by Harlem Wizard stars Swoop and Broadway. They will get fit, learn tricks, have fun, earn prizes, and be coached on character by the Wizards.
We will then conclude this event on 2-15-2023 with a Graduation Celebration where every student will participate and win free prizes. On 3-14-23 at Mattituck High School, the party continues with the Harlem Wizards Vs the Teachers. The game begins at 7pm and the doors will open at 6pm. The MC PTA is raising money to help pay for all the various events, programs, grants, etc that we have scheduled for this year! Any additional funds raised above our budget will help the PTA provide additional outdoor play and learning spaces to further enhance the new playground being installed at CE this summer! We appreciate and are grateful for all your support!
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the PTA. Students can request donations from friends and family to support them participating in the WizFit Challenge. We're excited to see our school come together for this fundraising program.

The MC Elementary PTA is a non profit 501(c)3 organization under the umbrella of the NYS PTA, so your donation would be tax deductible. We collaborate with our school district administrators to bring fun, educational and enriching programs, events, socials, assemblies and workshops to our students, faculty, parents and community throughout the school year. Our executive board has been working very hard to help bring back so many of those opportunities that went away during COVID. We are able to provide many of these events for free by successfully meeting our fundraising goals.
